Project objectives

The Yoorin Curimbaba Football School project has as its main objective to promote the sports and civic education of children and young people aged 7 to 18, offering a space for the development of technical and personal skills through sport.
In addition, the project aims to:

  • Comprehensive development: Offer psychological and nutritional support to ensure the complete development of athletes, both on and off the field.
  • Strategic partnership: Establish a partnership with Poços de Caldas Futebol Clube to monitor and integrate young talents in the Under-17 and Under-20 categories, opening doors for the future in professional football.

Structure and partnerships

The project has a highly qualified multidisciplinary team, which offers all the necessary support for the development of athletes:

  • General Coordinator: Fernando Henrique dos Santos – Pele
  • Teachers: Marcelo Rodrigues da Silva, Jeonicio Ramos, Pedro Henrique Resende Maiochi, Antonio de Moura Neto, Matheus Henrique Candido, André Luiz Rufino, Bruno Gabriel da Silva, in addition to 3 interns.
  • Psychologists: Dr. Morgana, Dr. Luciana, Dr. Fabiana and Dr. Si.
  • Nutritionist: Dr. Ana.

Yoorin Curimbaba Football School athletes have the opportunity to participate in important competitions, which provide experience and visibility:

Social impact

Currently, the project serves 300 children and young people, transforming lives and promoting personal and sports development. The Yoorin Curimbaba Football School goes beyond training athletes, preparing citizens for the future, transmitting values such as discipline, respect, teamwork and perseverance.

Sports Promotion Projects

Support for the Brazilian Cricket Confederation - Poços de Caldas Cricket Project

Project objectives

The Curimbaba Group also supports the development of cricket in the region, offering support to the Cricket project in Poços de Caldas.

  • Increase the number of cricket practitioners: There is encouragement to practice the sport, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.
  • Develop motor skills: Work with general and specific cricket skills, contributing to the physical and motor development of participants.
  • Encourage school attendance: Close monitoring of students' school performance, in partnership with schools and families, encouraging participation and good performance.

Opportunities for Children and Adolescents

The project offers places for children and adolescents aged 6 to 18, enrolled in the national education system. Currently, the project seeks to cover 8 locations in Poços de Caldas, with the goal of benefiting 900 children and young people.

Project Structure:

  • Weekly classes lasting two hours.
  • Provision of equipment, shirts and caps.
  • Free transport to cricket festivals.
  • Cricket festivals for the community, with theoretical and practical presentations.

Cricket: A Growing Sport in Brazil

Cricket is the most practiced sport in Poços de Caldas, with approximately 5,600 children and adolescents involved. The sport is expanding rapidly in Brazil, with projects in several cities in the south of Minas Gerais, the interior of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia and Brasília. It is important to note that 90% of the athletes of the Brazilian Cricket Team come from social projects of the Brazilian Cricket Confederation (CBC).

Community Development

The Curimbaba Group invests in projects that promote social development and the well-being of the communities where it operates. Two examples of initiatives that have the company's support are:

    Therapeutic horticulture project at the Psychiatric Hospital of Espírito Santo do Pinhal/SP

    An initiative that uses horticulture as a therapeutic tool for patients at the psychiatric hospital. The Curimbaba Group believes in the power of nature to promote mental health and well-being, and supports this project that offers patients the opportunity to connect with the land, develop skills and find a space for welcoming and care.

Partnerships with NGOs and Institutions

Social responsibility has always been one of the pillars of the Curimbaba Group. In 2008, Sebastião Curimbaba, President of the Curimbaba Group, created the Curimbaba Foundation, a social institution aimed at helping social and cultural entities in Poços de Caldas and the region.

In partnership with the Group's companies, the Curimbaba Foundation works to identify and meet the community's demands, seeking innovative and effective solutions to the challenges faced. Through donations, the Foundation offers financial support to more than 60 entities, which operate in various areas such as education, health, social assistance and culture.
